Excursions / Travel

As part of the objectives of the AAA day field trips as well as longer trips are organized to sites of archeological, historical, or cultural interest. These trips are an important asset to the association and were usually greatly enjoyed by members who have taken part.

Day outings have occurred throughtout the Algarve including Milreu, Faro, Vilamoura, Castro Marim, Tavira, Silves, Albufeira and many more (see also overview of past trips/travel). These day outings are free for members. Guests are welcome to participate (when space is available) at a fee of 6 Euro pp.

Longer trips (overnight and up to 14 days) have been made to Portalegre, Lisboa, Évora, Guimarães, Mérida, Catalunya, Salamanca, Segovia, Granada, Jordan, Etruscan Italy, Sicily, Morocca, and many more. Non-members accompanying members will pay a surcharge.
