Excursions / Travel

As part of the objectives of the AAA day field trips as well as longer trips are organized to sites of archeological, historical, or cultural interest are organized


Day outings have occurred throughtout the Algarve including Milreu, Faro, Vilamoura, Castro Marim, Tavira, Silves, Albufeira and many more (see also overview of past trips/travel).

Longer trips (overnight and up to 14 days) have been made to Portalegre, Lisboa, Évora, Guimarães, Mérida, Catalunya, Salamanca, Segovia, Granada, Jordan, Etruscan Italy, Sicily, Morocca, and many more (see also overview of past trips/travel).


These trips are an important asset to the association and were usually greatly enjoyed by members who have taken part.
